Similar to Swedish massage. But during a deep tissue massage the therapist uses more pressure. I use very slow movement to ensure the muscles are able to adapt to this pressure without damage. This way it is possible to reach deep inside the muscles, including the tendons and fascia. (The fascia is the lining tissue between muscles, bones, blood vessels, nerves and joints). A Deep Tissue Massage improves circulation and addresses aches and pain, flexibility and inflammation. It may even help lower blood pressure.
